Brendan and Karlea wedding at Takura, Queensland.
I always enjoy photographing weddings in regional Queensland. Brendan and Karlea from Eidsvold hired me for their wedding photography which involved full day coverage to include preparation through to their reception.
I spent quite a bit of time planning their wedding photography in order to produce the photos below that are a snapshot of their day which began in Hervey Bay and then proceeded to Takura for their wedding ceremony.
In our pre-wedding discussions, I suggested we aim to capture some country feeling in their photos as Brendan works on a cattle property and Karlea works as a country nurse and also helps out on her father’s property. I arranged to do some photos on a friends cattle property near Maryborough. Lindsay and Noela Titmarsh, owner of Tandora cattle station kindly allowed me to take the wedding party onto their property for photos. But not only this as Lindsay also became my camera assistant throughout our visit helping me with lighting equipment as I worked on the couple’s formal photos!!
After we finished at Tandora we drove back to Hervey Bay for the wedding reception with about 100 guests. The reception was a lovely gathering and the speeches provided many humorous moments. Plenty of dancing and fun went on through the night. Take a look below.
